“I believe it is the nature of people to be heroes, given the chance.” ~ James A. Autry
I recently attended a charity benefit for a remarkable little girl, Mikaela, who is awaiting liver and kidney transplants. Family, friends, and the Keene Valley Fire Department, came together to host a family fun night to help raise the funds needed for Mikaela’s transplant costs. With skating, sledding, food, music, a bonfire with s’mores, and a fireman’s snowshoe baseball game, it was a blast! The best part: $1000 was raised! It really was a great evening, and I’m so glad I could be a part of it.
CDs of all of the photographs from that night are available for a suggested $10, with all proceeds going to Mikaela. If you’d like a disc, please visit Mikaela’s donation page, make a donation, and let me know you’ve done so. You can forward me your donation confirmation or simply send me a note at amanda@amandablacksmithphotography.com You can view a gallery of the images by going to our proofing section above and entering the password: mikaela.
