"I will always be thankful that Amanda was part of my wedding. Since I don’t live in the Adirondacks, I didn’t meet Amanda until the morning of my wedding day, but it was easy to email and talk on the phone before the event to talk through all the details. Amanda has a calm manner that was reassuring in planning a destination-type wedding. She was professional about her services and her prices. There were no surprises. And the moment I met Amanda before the ceremony, I felt even better about her. She was wonderful. My family loved her. My husband and I don’t like posing for photos, but somehow Amanda made it seem effortless. After the wedding, we got a sneak peak of a photo emailed to us right away. The online proofs followed within a reasonable time after – less time than many people I know who had to wait months and months for their proofs. And then Amanda kept being wonderful. Together we designed an album with real mounted photographs, not a printed photo book like a lot of photographers push on their clients. We received the album about three months after our wedding date. When I opened the package, I jumped up and down, and got teared up at the same time. The album is beautiful, like an heirloom. The photos have such depth, light, and color. Amanda has an incredible eye, and I can’t have asked for more beautiful wedding photos. Or a better person to be part of one of the best days of my life! I can’t thank you enough, Amanda." Alison & Erik Lake Placid Wedding 5 / 5 stars

EJ

It is such an honor to be a photographer for the non-profit organization, Inspiration Through Art. The mission at Inspiration Through Art is to help provide and capture memories for families who have a child who is suffering from a serious illness or life-altering disability. It TRULY makes my heart happy to be able to give back in this way.

A few words about little EJ, from his mother:

“After being born just 1 month early but only weighing 2 lbs 13 oz, Eric Jason (EJ) Tran spent the first 5 and 1/2 months of his life in the NICU at a major children’s hospital in Pennsylvania. Aside from his failure to grow at a normal rate, he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease among other diagnosis such as PVL, hypothyroidism, anemia, and oxygen dependency. But none of these stand in EJs way to fight for his life! He is currently in the process of being evaluated for a kidney transplant, but thankfully is not in an emergent need for one at this time. He will be starting dialysis sometime in June 2012, and we can only hope and pray he will be deemed eligible for a kidney transplant so his name can go on “the list”. Ej’s blood type is B+, and we knew from the very beginning that wasn’t just a coincidence, but more a slogan to live by: Be Positive.”

“To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.” – Heather Cortez
